Dublin Aerospace Group, parent company to Dublin Aerospace and Exeter Aerospace, is one of the world’s leading providers of Aerospace MRO services with capabilities in APU Repair & Overhaul, Base Maintenance, IDG Repair & Overhaul, and Landing Gear Repair & Overhaul.

We currently have a requirement for a Finance Director and are looking for an exceptional candidate that has the drive and ambition to develop and build out the finance function and strategy of the organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated person to work with a strong management team which consists of highly experienced professionals in the aviation industry.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge and experience of setting, up, operating and managing a Finance function and team. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop, build, and manage Dublin Aerospace’s finance function, systems, and processes
  • Provide a Leadership role in the head office, focused on hiring, growing, and retaining talent in the Finance Team.
  • Preparation and oversight of management accounts and reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparation of quarterly Board Packs and attendance at Board Meetings
  • Undertaking financial analysis and reporting to support the decision-making process, improve efficiencies and reduce costs across the business
  • Work closely with other business units to drive performance and manage cost.
  • Ensuring that appropriate systems and adequate internal controls for risk management are implemented and followed.
  • Managing tax obligations in Ireland and abroad. Liaising with external parties where necessary.
  • Management of the annual audit and statutory compliance requirements
  • Treasury management

Minimum Skills & Qualifications

  • Possess a recognised accounting qualification with +5 years PQE, with industry experience ideally within the MRO sector
  • Experience of developing and managing a Finance function
  • Prior team management experience
  • Commercial mind set and strong communication skills
  • Energetic with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Ability to identify and drive change
