Job Description: As a Safety Assurance Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our EASA Part-145 maintenance repair overhaul facility complies with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines. Your attention to detail and knowledge of industry regulations will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance within our organisation.

 

Responsibilities, on completion of training:

  • Conduct thorough compliance monitoring inspections to ensure adherence to EASA Part-145 regulations.
  • Monitor aircraft heavy maintenance checks, including inspections, repairs, and modifications, to ensure compliance with approved maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the overhaul process of landing gear and APU components, including disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly, ensuring compliance with OEM specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform compliance audits to identify any non-compliance issues or areas for improvement, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Review and approve maintenance work packages, ensuring they comply with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices, and ensure that the organisation remains compliant with any changes or updates.
  • Contribute to compliance training programs for employees, promoting a culture of safety and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Maintenance and Engineering, to address compliance-related issues and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation related to compliance monitoring activities, findings, and recommendations.
  • Manage Occurrence reports withing DALS internal SMS
  • Assist and oversee risk mitigation management
  • Conduct Safety Investigations when and where required

Requirements:

  • Have served a recognised apprenticeship or traineeship or hold a relevant degree. (Essential)
  • Be familiar with EASA regulations, specifically Part-145. (Essential)
  • Formally auditor trained (Desirable)
  • An understanding of aircraft maintenance processes, procedures, and practices would be an advantage.
  • Experience in conducting Quality activities, audits, and inspections would be an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify non-compliance issues or areas for improvement.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to deliver clear and concise reports and documentation.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to integrate with the Quality Team.
  • Professionalism and integrity in handling confidential information.
  • Experience working in an EASA Part-145 maintenance repair overhaul facility, would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, as required within Ireland.
